Very good quality koshirai in excellent shape.  The handle is wrapped in lacquered leather.  The saya is in extremely good shape and has no visible chipping.  To have a saya made like this today would cost well over $2000 in Japan.  The fact that's these mounts are old and the handle is in great shape also makes this koshirai unique.   Mounts are held together with a small half tsunagi, not full size for display purposes.
