This is a very long Daito at 29-14" long and is from the ENSHO (1504-1520) era. The activity in the hamon is very interesting and extremely active with many hataraki. This old sword has no flaws and and well forged and has not been over polish. The hada has coarse areas mixed with finely forged areas. The activity of this katana is very beautiful as in many fine old koto swords.
The mounts are in good condition. The saya is clean and the lacquer is in very good condition for its age and is not split.
