This katana has a very nice curvature and is a stout blade. The work on the sword is very nice and has no flaws. The hamon is a gunome midare mix that is very hard to show in the pictures. This sword looks much better in hand. The hada is very silky looking and has a milky appearance. This sword has a signature the we feel is false but the sword is old and is in excellent condition with its original mounts.
The mounts are complete and original to this katana. The saya is not split but has some lacquer chipping off in some places. The lacquer is approximately 85%-90% intact. Overall this is a nice old samurai sword.
