This yamato school blade is well made and shows the type of activity that is expected to be seen in good Shikake blades. Yamato is one of the five main line schools of sword making (Mino, Bizen, Yamato, Yamashiso and Shoshu). The hada is very nicely forged and the hamon has good activity. Overall this is a good Yamato blade for a collector interested in the main line schools of sword making.
