This is a very nice quality koto wakazashi. Note the tsuba depression left on the nakago from all the years of being carried. This is a very interesting sword in that is is flat sided or hira-zukuri style. The sword has no visible flaws to take away from the value and is in very good shape. The hada is very active and beautiful as were many older swords. The hamon or temper line is a subdued suguba with activity (hataraki) in it. This sword should do very well if submitted for shinsa in the future.

the original mounts are very fine and the are also signed. The scabbard is in good shape for its age and is not split.
This fine wakazashi comes in good old polish and with its original mounts.
