This is a Showa era Katana made during WWII for the war efforts. This particular blade is in very good condition. Finding a Showa-to blade in this polished condition is extremely rare. The mounts show that they were carried to war and is a great example of a WWII blade. It even has the surrender tag on the handle with the owners name apparently. This sword has some nice WWII historic value and is in excellent polish.
