This is the fourth generation Ujishige of Osaka. Origiinally, from Harima no Kuni, he moved to Edo, and became the Han smith of the Muttsu no Kuni Shirakawa clan, changed his name to MASASHIGE, and received a stipend of 500 koku. On the 5th day of the 4th month of Kyôwa Sannen (1803), he received the title of Kai no Kami.
This sword is very well made. The hada is very rich looking and well forged on this sword. The hamon is full of activity (hataraki). The exceptional thing about this sword is its size! This sword is as wide as two katana! It is the strongest wakazashi that we have ever sold. Please look at the measurements of this sword carefully to understand that this was a special ordered sword.
