This is a very beautiful katana in Japanese Russo mounts in excellent polish.  The quality on this sword is clearly visible in the pictures.  This sword looks to be from the late shin-shinto era (late1800's-early1900's).  This sword has a very well forged hada and a beautiful hamon with good hataraki.  Making a shirasaya for this sword would be a good idea as it is in such good condition.
