This is a very interesting sword as it was made for a child. Samurai children were given swords to carry and own. This is an example of these types of small katana. The smith Sukehira is a good quality smith and has a chu-jo saku rating. This sword is well made blade. The hada is very tightly forged and the hamon is made in a typical elegant older style and not meant to be flashy but subdued. The boshi has some very good activity and overall this is a very unique sword.
