mas610This elegant katana is of very fine quality. Masanaga is associated with the Ishido group of smiths. He is regarded as a very fine swordsmith and this is self evident by this swords. The hada on this sword is very finely worked and has a beautiful silky look to it. The hamon is extremely active and goes into the shinogi in many places. It has an abundance of activity. This sword is very long and has never been cut down and the signature is very well struck. This is a very fine sword for a quality collection.
