This interesting Wakazashi comes in excellent polish. The hada is very beautiful and has a rich koto feeling to it. The suguba hamon has many hataraki/good "activity" workmanship within the hamon. The boshi is very well made also. Overall the quality, shape and carving make this a fine unique sword.
Arikoto was a Court Noble that made swords as a hobby. He also was a well known poet and inscribed poems on his swords.
The poem on this sword is very difficult to translate as it is in grass writing.
