Thickness at the mune-machi: 5.1 mm
Construction: hira-zukuri
Mune: iori
Nakago: ubu
Kitae: itame/masame
Hamon: suguba
Condition:  good old polish

 

This is a good example of a koto era Mino school tanto.  The hada is well forged and is very clearly visible.  The hamon is suguba and is nie/nio deki mixed.  The mounts are in good condition and the saya has interesting fittings.  Is is an honest samurai koto tanto.
