This is a fine koto katana with good samurai koshirai.  The blade is made very well and appears to be a Yamato sword with good possibilities if sent to shinsa.  The activity is good in the hamon with and well made hataraki.  The hada is milky looking and well forged also in a mokume or ko-mokume style.  This sword could be something very interesting after shinsa.

KOSHIRAI
The Pictures do not show the fuchi but it is a match to the kashirai and is an accurate set.  The koshirai is from the Edo era and a leather cover has been made to protect the saya and the fuchi so the sword could be used in WWII.   It should be noted the the leather is in excellent condition and we have never come across one in this fine condition.

This sword comes in a great old polish and with its mounts.

This sword is on consignment.
