Its very difficult to know if the signature is correct because of the condition of the sword. This sword should be polished and fully restored. The sword should polish out fine. The hamon is visible and not damaged or missing. The mounts are very nice quality and original to the blade. This is a sound reasonably priced katana from the 1500's and in need of restoration. This is a good starter sword for a new collector.
