This tanto is a consignment sale so we can not guarantee the signature to be 100% correct but we feel that the signature is correct to this koto smith. It is made in the traditional mino style and he was not that famous of a smith that his signature would be falsified. The sword has age to it and has course hada in places. The hada is mokume and some itame is mixed in. The hada has a milky look and was made well. The hamon is very interesting and active. Many hataraki are visible and the hamon is bright. This Tanto comes in its mounts and in a great old polish.
