Blade:

This long katana made by Masazane is very well made and has a very elegant curvature and balance.  Masazane is not a well known smith and not many swords are found from this smith in Taikan so it is a rather unique sword.  It is ubu and with his full signature.  The hada is very evenly forged in a very tight itame hada.  The habuchi on this blade is rather thick and well made.  The hamon is in gunome choji style and also has a very elegant look to it.  The kissaki is somewhat large and robust.

Mounts:

The koshirai are in a rich copper material with a good patina to them.  They are all matching and made as a set.  The saya has an interesting bark texture at the top then it is a lacquered in black below with a spiraling line to the bottom.
