CHIKUZEN JU MINAMOTO NOBUKUNI YOSHISHIGE SAKU.
He  worked around TENNA (TENWA) 1681-1684.

This interesting wakazashi is very unique.  There is not much known about this smith.  He is listed in Hawleys and in a few other books but that's all.    The workmanship on this sword is clearly in the chikuzen style.  Smith's like this that are not well know are not faked.  They are not famous or well known so we guarantee this signature to be 100% correct if sent to shinsa.  The hamon is very well made but can be seen much better in hand than in the photographs below.  The hada is forged tightly and the nio-guchi is very beautiful.  The hamon on this sword shows a soshu den influence.  This wakazashi comes in original koshirai.  The koshirai also are very good quality.
