This is a very fine and very early example of a Nami no Hira katana that dates back to the 1300's. The condition of this exquisite old koto sword is excellent and the sword is still very tightly forged for its age. The hamon is very bright and healthy. Yamato school swords are very desirable and are one of the finest sword produced during the history of sword making. The hada on this sword is very smooth. This itame hada has a beautiful rich texture and appearance. Its very hard to believe the condition of this fine sword for it's age. This sword is also in very good honest samurai mounts that are in excellent condition. Swords of this caliber in this condition are not always available for sale at reasonable prices, but this sword is in our opinion.
