There were two generations of this smith, one worked around Kanbun (1661-1673) and the other around Genroku (1688-1704). The origami or appraisal paper does not identify which one this is.
This is a very well made wakazashi in original mounts. The hamon has many fine hataraki and is a mix of nie and nio in places. Please have a look at the pictures of the hamon details. The hada is well forged and is mostly made up of itame hada. This is a fine example of an echizen blade. The mounts are in dragon motif and adds to the overall value of this wakazashi from the shinto era.
