A Shinto (1700s) era wakazashi that is in a very old polish. The overall shape and condition of this sword is good but the polish does not reflect the quality of this blade. It appears to be made in the mino tradition of sword making. This sword should be polished and submitted to shinsa to receive a paper attesting to the make and quality of this blade. The saya is a military scabbard.
