A beautiful sword in the Bizen tradion this blade is longish and quite well made. The hamon is a uniform gunome representing the rolling ocean waves. it is nioi based with ko-nie and activity appears. the hada is an oily darkish jigane of dense mokume. Ji-nie appears on the ji. the sword has slight curvature and may be kanbun shinto.
The mounts are a matching higo style with incredible Abolone suspended in lacquer finish to the saya. The Tsuba is ornate with the gold intact. The higo mounts match throughout the koshirae which consists of fuchi/kashira, kojiri, koiguchi and kurikata. These mounts are original to the sword and to be appreciated for there completeness
