A great blade for restoration this sword has shirasaya with sayagaki attributed of Matsuo. This long sword has a 27.5" cutting edge and loaded with hataraki. There is kinsuji and sunagashi throughout. The hada is a beautiful mokume and should be a beauty in polish. There is gunome-midare with ko-nie that jumps off the blade. The sayagaki reads: " Sagaken Kishimagan Takeuchi Mira Oaza Umeno Tsuneei Matsuo "
This is a prime restoration candidate and should not be ignored!!
This rather long katana at 27.5" is a very sound and healthy blade. The blade is wide and has a beautiful curvatuer. The quality of the sword is also very good. The activity in the hamon is balanced and style flashy. The hamon is bright and has very good activity. The hada is milky looking and is forged well. The overall feel of this blade is one of a well balanced beautiful katana that is very sharp.
