This smartly mounted exquisitely made Tanto comes in a decent older polish. The hamon is extremely subtle with a hoso-suguha temper. The blade was made in the Yamato style probably from the Shinshinto era prior to this century. The hada is itame and very well done. The sword still shows off the blades fine qualities even in an older polish such as this. The blade has the KANMURI-OTOSHI-ZUKURI shape.
The koshirae are a mix of beautiful lacquer work of Floral motif with butterflies and signed and appears to be from the Shinshinto era. This Tanto is complete and well made finished with a beautiful sageo.
