A rare signed Kashu blade that is bound to please. This is a genuine signature.
A fantastic early Shinto wakazashi this sword is reminiscent of old koto work. The blade is a signed piece with spectacular hada and vibrant hamon. It is signed � Kashu ju Fujiwara Nagatsugu �At longish 18� Hira-zukiri piece this blade is a true beauty. The hada is a well worked Mokume with Itame in covered in ji-nie . There is chikei and much nie all over. The hamon is made up of gunome based in notare with small clusters of nie the length of the blade. There is sunagasi and kinsuji as well as ko-nie. An impressive with much to appreciate.
The koshirae is original and still retains the vintage string wrap. There is a mostly higo themed motif with original iron fittings for the most part. The menuki horses in pairs galloping along in shakudo and gold. There is a pierced tsuba with gold with an original black lacquered saya with a stone like finish.
The habaki is a rare silver foiled with a rare dragon in clouds motif. The sageo is original and purple.
