This very large wide katana is a diamond in the ruff.  Its size, shape and feel with its large point place it in the 1300's.  It is cut down and still almost 30" long.  It has some course hada as many of these early swords do.  The overall feel is that of a yamato tachi of the nambokucho era.  The hamon is deep, healthy and wide.  This sword needs to be polished and submitted to shinsa in the future.  Even the mounts are interesting and have a very rustic look.  All copper and matching overall they complete this sword.  We would like the opportunity to restore this sword as we feel it has a lot to offer still for its age.
