This is a very interesting old tanto that should go to shinsa some day. The hada is very well forged and the hamon shows good activity. It a very hard tanto to judge but shows that it is very unique and interesting in shape. It comes fully polished in a well made shirasaya with horn inlays and a gold foiled habaki. The restoration on this blade is over $2500 alone. It will be interesting to see what a shinsa team appraises this blade to be.
