This is a good solid example of a samurai sword from the 1700's. It appears to be a mino school blade. The mounts are newly restored to be used for iaido training. This sword should be submitted to shinsa in the future. It is rather long and has a good balance. Clearly this is a well made sword for the average samurai to use and carry.
