This tanto is in very good polish and has a very nice koshirai. The blade is in shirasaya and a stunagi was made for the mounts. More research should be done on this blade as masayoshi was a good smith. This blade was owned for many years by one family. The family say that it had very old papers but they have been lost for many years. We can not dispute nor confirm this signature with out it going to a shinsa again, so it will be priced accordingly. What we can say is that overall this is a fine shin-shinto tanto.
