This is a very fine quality old koto sword. We feel that it will do very well at shinsa if submitted and has no flaws. The hamon is nie deki with thick nio also in places. The hada is forged well and the overall feel of this sword is of excellent quality. The mounts are also very fine quality and are completely matching with mon on the fittings. The fitting are all silver and have a beautiful patina to them also shakudo was used in the mon and it is important to note that the fittings are complete and nothing has been altered on these mounts. The handle is original and has an older string wrap making it look even more elegant. The scabbard/saya is very sound for its age and has shells inlayed in the lacquer . This is truly a beautiful sword.
