This is a very nice tachi mounted kyomitsu blade. The blade itself is well made and would be even more desirable in a fresh polish. The hamon is very active and is better appreciated in hand than in the pictures. The workmanship on this blade is very good as in many kaga blades. Kaga blades were considered extremely functional blades that cut well. For this reason samurai appreciated this school of wordsmiths. The mounts are also interesting in that the sword is mounted as a tachi. Tachi mounts are very desirable and collectable. This sword should be submitted to shinsa in the futur.
