This is a very lovely old Bizen blade that still has its original signature and date from the sword smith that made this fine sword. Bizen blades like this are desirable especially as it is on of the five schools of sword making. This particular blade shows all the fine qualities of a bizen blade. The fact that it dated and is from the koto era, makes this even more interesting as a koto sword for any collector. The sword is in great condition and has very good utsuri and the hamon has good activity. This blade looks better in hand than in the pictures.
