The shitahara school of swordsmiths was very famous and is desirable with collectors. This long katana is extremely impressive with its full temper that is loaded with activity. One side almost looks to be on fire with activity. The hada has some very interesting forging also and is well made. This stout blade is of fine quality and comes with fine fittings also. The saya has been restored to its original finish. The overall feel of this blade is that of power and strength. This katana comes mounted and has papers attesting to its quality.
