This is a signed and dated katana from the owari school smith Katsushige. This is a very long stout sword that is extremely well balanced for its size. The homon has very good hataraki/activity, please take a good look at the pictures. The hada is forged well and is very soft and milky looking. Katsushige is well regarded smith and a sword not only made by him but signed and dated also is a great collectable katana. This long katana comes with original mounts in shi shi motif that is all matching.
