This is a very nice Naginata with good Hataraki and a nice hada.  It has some course hada but overall is a good naginata with original pole and saya.

PAPERS
(NTHK KANTEISHO)

This Naginata comes with the original pole and saya.  The saya has some damage and has been repaired but is overall in sold condition.   The pole is in overall good condition with very little damage.  This naginata may have had some kind of a tsuba or thick seppa as there is about 1/4" space between the bottom of the habaki and the top of the pole.  It is hardly noticeable and doesn't take away from the overall appeal of this item.  The blade is in a beautiful old polish with very minor scuffing.  Some coarse hada is visible as shown in the picture above.  The hada is very clear and visible as is the hamon.  the hamon has many hataraki and is nicely done.  This is a very good example of a Shinto Naginata that is Ubu, signed and fully mounted.

This sword is on consignment.
