Yari by Yukikage.
This smith is in the Nihonto Meikan. Therein, he is listed as having signed like on this yari, that he was based in Higo. However, There is listed a Higo smith from that time who used the name Yukikage too, although written with a different YUKI. I guess it may be the same smith who changed the writing at some point. We have him as: YUKIKAGE (幸景), Tenpō (天保, 1830-1844), Higo – “Higo no Kuni-jū Ibara Jirōzaemon no Jō Fujiwara Yukikage” (肥後国住茨次郎左衛門尉藤原幸景), real name Ibara Jirōzaemon (茨次郎左衛門).
This is a perfect example of a yari in polished condition. It also has a shirasaya to add even more value to this blade. I wonderful signed and dated Yari for any collector.
