This sword was made by IKKANSAI SHIGETSUNA. His real name is Sake Saburo. He was born November 1946. He was the last student of IKKANSAI SHIGEMASA and worked in the Bizen Tradition. He currently lives in Tokigawa-cho, Saitama prefecture. He has also won many awards because of the quality of the swords he made.. This sword shows many hataraki and has a beautiful hada and has no flaws. Just look at the hamon detail picture. This sword also has a very elegant horimono carving on one side of the blade. Truly a very well made Shinsaku-to. It’s in its original polish and and has some scuffing and blemishes. It looks like it has been used for Iaido training. It is a very sound sword an has modern mounts that are all solidly mounted. A great choice for a collector or an Iaido student looking for a special Katana to train with.
