This is a Gendai-To made by 藤村國俊 fujimura kunitoshi. Kunitoshi worked during the Showa era (1926-1989). He comes from the Yamaguchi Provence. His lineage stems from the Akihide School of sword making. Kunitoshi was born in 1887and died in 1965 at the age 77. He was known for making swords in the style of Masamune. This is a fine example of his work. This beautiful sword comes in a shirasaya, and is in very good condition.
