To start with this is a very thick blade and can be classified as an armor piercing blade. The work on this fine blade beautiful and it has a well carved horimono of a dragon and ken. For a koto blade it is very healthy. The hada is rich looking and very clear and well forged. The hamon has many hataraki in it. Ashi, sunagashi and much more activity can be found on this blade. The mounts are also in great condition and that says has gold mixed in the lacquer to add to its beautiful but tasteful look.
