This is a very solid, well made koto blade. The activity is abundant with a beautiful flowing temple line in Gunome midare style. The sword is an older polish and has signs of staining and blemishes. This sword will polish out fine, if polished by a professional sword polisher. We have no doubt that it will receive a good paper if sent in for shinsa at some point after it’s restored. This wakazashi is an excellent sword for a new collector or even an experienced collector. If you have any other questions about it please let us know.
Please note the sword is signed by a mino smith Kane “something”. Its very hard to read the second kanji because of its age and the signature was cut thin.
