Item description here
This is a very interesting military sword in civilian mounts for training purposes. These mounts are complete and the sword smith is NO SHU SEKI JU KANEYOSHI SAKU from the showa era. For a collector who wishes to train with a WWII sword It’s a great find. The blade is of good quality and is in a good old polish with an arsenal stamp. The hamon is very attractive for a non traditionally made sword. It starts as a gunome midare then finishes in suguha like is seen on many older mino blades This sword is a great sword to study and train with. The sword has a longish Kissaki and starts with a wonderful gunome midare hamon. The sword is signed No Shu Seki Ju Kane ? Saku This is a very good example of the smiths of WWII, an oil tempered showa-to . The mounts are a matching set of copper with the Tokugawa crest. The menuki are of Mons with a Blue Tsuka- ito and black sageo. The Saya is in a glossy black lacquer finish with a ray skin top. This sword can be used for iaido or toyama-ryu/tameshigiri. It can cut and the fact that its a showa era blade makes this sword reasonably priced.
