This exceptional Japanese sword, inscribed with the signature “Senju-in,” is a fine example of Koto craftsmanship from the late Muromachi to early Edo period. The blade features a distinctive midare gunome hamon and a maru boshi, reflecting the aesthetic qualities and forging techniques characteristic of the Kamakura and Muromachi eras. Made in a shinogi zukuri style with a mune of iori, it displays rich itame and mokume hada patterns, highlighting the craftsmanship and artistry of the period.
