A fresh polish would uncover this  The overall feel of this blade is one of a well balanced beautiful wakazashi . The hamon is frosted with nie and the hada is a well forged mokume with itame.

The koshirae is a fine pair of of inspired fittings. The habaki is copper. The tsuba is iron with gold inlay of floral design. The menuki are of ShiShi and well carved/ The Tsuka-Ito is brown as well as the lacquer on the saya. the sageo is a deep blue. The Same is old and original. The bottom of the saya is rounded and the kissaki is a longish chu-kissaki ending in ko-maru. This sword is ubu with 1 hole.
