MUTSU KAMI DAIDO (fss-961)

Daido is said to be the grandson of Nosh Muroya Seki Ootomo, whose regular works are popular large swords. Daido’s works from the Keicho era are robust and sound.  Although there are some slight imperfections, his work is highly praised by Master Tanobe as renowned products from Mino Seki.  The fittings are also well made. Iron Dragon tsuba. Fuchi/Kashira Shakudo ground with high relief Dragon motif.  The menuki are Shakudo plant motif and kodzuka dragon motif. Kogai is high-relief lion pattern with gold high-lights.

The sayagaki is written by Mr. Tanobe:
Mutsu Kami Daido, a three-character signature.
It excellently displays the lineage’s characteristics.
The blade length is 1Shaku 9 Sun

This sword is accompanied with NBTHK HOZON TOKEN and also comes with a much older NBTHK paper.
